Terms of use

You must be 13 or older to use SY-MDR and 18 or older to enter paid tournaments or withdraw winnings. One account per person. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Gaming IDs you link must be yours. We verify them through the platform's sign-in (Xbox, Steam) or a code in your profile bio.

Each tournament's page sets out its game, format, schedule, check-in and reporting deadlines, and prize split. Missing a check-in or reporting deadline can mean a forfeit.

Report results honestly with a screenshot of the final result screen. We use automated checks, including AI that reads screenshots, to confirm results. Our moderators make the final decision on disputes, and their decision is final for that tournament.

No cheating, match-fixing, account sharing, edited or reused screenshots, harassment, or abuse of other players or staff. We can disqualify, forfeit results, withhold prizes, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules.

Amounts are in South African rand. Entry fees are taken from your SY-MDR wallet when you register; a platform fee shown on the tournament page is kept by us and the rest forms the prize pool. Guaranteed prize pools are topped up by us.

You can withdraw before a tournament starts for a full refund. If we cancel a tournament, entry fees are refunded to your wallet.

Prizes are paid to your wallet when the tournament ends. Withdrawals to a South African bank account need identity verification (KYC) and a bank account in your own name, and are usually processed within 2 business days. We may hold a payout while we investigate suspected fraud or rule-breaking.

You are responsible for any tax due on your winnings.

Deposits are processed by PayFast. We never see or store your card details. Wallet balances don't earn interest and aren't a bank account.

Matches are played on third-party platforms (Sony, Microsoft, EA, Valve and others) that we don't control. We aren't responsible for their outages, bans or rule changes. We provide SY-MDR as is and, to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount in your wallet.
